Race Results
Second-fastest qualifier Wayne Anderson drew
the pole position, and led all 100 laps for his third win in the 2010 Sunoco
FAST series. Two-time series winner and fast time qualifier Jeff Scofield drew
third starting spot, and worked his way
around Brian Finney into second place in the running order just before the
first caution (for Todd Allen’s spin) at lap 22. Allen recovered to finish 11th.
Scofield pressured Anderson for most of the
race, eventually losing second place to Steve Dorer. Dorer started 18th
after having his third fastest qualifying time disqualified and finished
second, with Finney and Rookie Austin Kirkpatrick finishing fourth and fifth,
respectively. Kirkpatrick took “Rookie-of-the-Race” honors for the third
consecutive event.
The race was slowed by three cautions and one
red flag period.
